How does a LoveGroom preview work?
Choose a clear photo, select a style, add your pet's breed or mix and coat type if you know them, then include any finishing notes. LoveGroom uses those details to restyle the visible coat while aiming to preserve your pet's recognizable features.
Is the preview a guarantee of the finished groom?
No. Every preview is visual inspiration, not a promise of an exact result. Coat condition, matting, health, behavior, growth patterns, and groomer technique all affect what is safe and achievable at an appointment.
Does LoveGroom replace a professional groomer's advice?
No. LoveGroom helps you communicate a preference. Your groomer should make the final recommendation after examining your pet's coat and discussing comfort, maintenance, and safety with you.
Why can a professional dog groom take several hours?
A full appointment can include check-in, bathing, complete drying, brushing or combing, coat preparation, haircut and finishing, comfort breaks, and salon scheduling. Time varies with the dog's size, coat, condition, behavior, chosen services, and the salon's workflow. Ask your salon for its estimated window and update policy rather than assuming your dog is being actively handled every minute.
What kind of photo works best?
Use a well-lit front or three-quarter photo with the full face and most of the coat visible. Avoid filters, costumes, heavy shadows, motion blur, and photos where another animal overlaps your pet.
Which grooming styles can I preview?
LoveGroom currently includes teddy bear cuts, puppy cuts, summer trims, top knots, breed-standard-inspired trims, and custom requests. Not every style is suitable for every coat, so use the result as a conversation starter.
Can I use LoveGroom for dogs and cats?
LoveGroom can create visual previews for dogs and cats when the coat is clearly visible. Available styles and practical grooming options vary by species, breed, coat, health, and temperament.
Does LoveGroom save my original photo?
LoveGroom processes your original photo for the generation request and does not save the original upload. An image-generation provider receives the photo to create the preview. Generated previews and related request details may be stored so the result can be delivered and associated with an account.
How much does LoveGroom cost?
LoveGroom is currently free with unlimited previews during early access. There is no checkout or subscription. Reasonable anti-abuse safeguards may temporarily slow unusually high request volumes.
Are LoveGroom images AI-generated?
Yes. LoveGroom previews are generated with artificial intelligence from the photo and grooming details you provide. Results can contain visual mistakes, so inspect each preview before sharing it as a reference.

What photos are not allowed?
Upload a clear photo of your dog or cat only. LoveGroom rejects images that are not pet photos, show wildlife or other animals, include people or children, contain unsafe content, or are too blurry or cropped to groom meaningfully.
