Coat type matters. A professional may suggest clipping a continuously growing coat, while recommending de-shedding and an outline tidy for some double coats. Ask before requesting a very short clip.

- Which areas can be shortened for easier cleaning?

Use a preview for shape, not a promise
A visual can communicate how compact you want the body and how much fullness to retain on the head, ears, legs, and tail. It cannot determine coat health or whether a specific length is appropriate. Keep the final decision with the groomer who can examine the pet.
